Technical support of the AVIedit

IMPORTANT: please read this before mailing us.

Unregistered shareware AVIedit is supported at low priority. That means, if we
have some free time to answer you, we will provide a limited help.
The registration of AVIedit
entitles you, after all, virtually unlimited free technical support
by e-mail. AVIedit is one of those well-behaved Win32 applications
who enjoy you, but unfortunately while you are using any Windows-family
O.S. you really will need our support and help...

Some help you can get from other customers or even from the author, if you
post your question to our Forum. Though, it may
be too complex to answer there...
You can use our diagnostic utility.
Bugreports and suggestions are
most welcome. Hope you'll never discover a bug in the program,
nor will have some problem using it, but [if any occurs], please
include the following information in
your message, whenever possible:
All reports
-
Registered users: please use your name as in the registration form, to
get highest priority in answer
- Operating system (OS) name and version, e.g. Windows 98 SE
- Amount of RAM available, for example 64 Mb SDRAM
- Hard drive capacity and filesystem, for example 8,4 Gbytes NTFS volume
- Frame size (width & height) and color depth of your clips
- Step-by-step: what you did (and we should do) to reproduce the problem
- The exact text of the error messages, if any occurs.
- Please avoid sending huge JPEG screenshots about 120 kb and more; we will ask you if we'll need one
Playback issues
- If you can't play or compress videos that you did before, please tell us
what video authoring software you have removed yesterday :(
- Other monster-like software (e.g. MS IE 4.x, 5.x) that is suspected to fail
- File size and type (captured/downloaded/produced by known software/etc.)
Capture issues
- Capture hardware and driver version, like ASUSv3400 TV, video in/out, driver ver. 2.17
- It would be a good idea to try "generic"
application like Microsoft VidCap32 or AMcap and see if they fails too
Adobe Photoshop® compatible Plug-in issues
- The URL (site or developer page) where you have downloaded that plug-in
